About this subsection

On a baking cylinder the batter is applied in a thin layer along the whole generatrix of the drum and lifted off as a continuous strip. The strip travels to a conveyor, is cut across into rectangles, filling is laid on each one, and the product is then either rolled into a tube or folded into an envelope.

This technology gives what neither plates nor discs can: elongated products. A spring roll, an egg roll, samsa, a snack roll with jam — every one of them begins with a strip of dough rather than a round pancake. A filled pancake with meat or curd is made here too: the envelope is folded from a rectangle.

The four items differ in the degree of automation and the type of folding. The automatic lines shape the product themselves and are meant for the serial output of one format. The semi-automatic bakes the sheet and the operators shape it — cheaper, and with more freedom in the range.

Comparison of the items in this section

The items solve different tasks, so comparing them for "which is better" makes no sense. This table answers a different question — which of them is yours:

ItemWhat it doesKey parametersWho it is for
Pancakes — five foldsfills and folds into an envelope≈4,800 pcs/hfilled pancakes with meat or curd
Snack crêpesfills and rolls into a tube≈3,600 pcs/h · jam or chocolatea snack format for the shelf
Spring rolls and egg rollsfolds and rolls automatically1,500–3,000 pcs/hserial output of spring rolls
Samsa and spring rollsbakes the sheet, operators shape1 or 2 rowsa wide range, smaller volumes

The parameters are taken from the manufacturers’ technical catalogues. The exact configuration and output are selected for the customer’s product.

Filled pancake line with five folds: forming the product

How we select the equipment

  1. The taskYou describe the product, the volume per shift and the space in the workshop. If the product does not exist yet, we discuss what it should be.
  2. CalculationAn engineer works out the output, chooses the units and the interchangeable tooling and checks the dimensions against the manufacturer's drawings.
  3. The offerYou receive the composition of the set, the specifications, the lead time and the price. If needed, several options for different budgets.
  4. ImplementationSupply, installation, commissioning on your own product, staff training — and service afterwards.

Why customers buy from us

The factories build the machines. We are responsible for making the equipment work on your product in your workshop — and for keeping it working. That is eight steps, and all of them are ours:

  1. Selection for your product
  2. Delivery
  3. Installation
  4. Commissioning
  5. Staff training
  6. Warranty
  7. Service
  8. Spare parts

Selection for your product

We calculate the configuration for your product, volume and premises.

Delivery and installation

Transport, positioning in the production room, setting up.

Commissioning

Bringing the equipment up to regime on your own product.

Staff training

We train operators and technologists, including tooling changes.

Spare parts and tooling

Original components, interchangeable units, dies and matrices.

Warranty and service

Frequently asked questions

Why are spring rolls not made on a baking disc?

Because a disc gives separate round pancakes, while a spring roll is rolled from a rectangular sheet. A cylinder delivers a continuous strip that is cut into rectangles of the required size — which is exactly why elongated products are made here.

An automatic line or a semi-automatic one?

An automatic line shapes the product itself and is justified when the format is one and the volume is large. A semi-automatic bakes the sheet and the operators fold it — a smaller investment, more freedom in the range and a sensible choice while the volume has not grown.

Can one line both roll and fold into an envelope?

Those are different forming units. The five-fold line makes an envelope, the snack line rolls into a tube, the spring roll line has its own folding unit. That is why our enquiry asks not only for the product but for the way it is formed.

Which filling is suitable?

It depends on the line: the snack line works with jam and chocolate, the five-fold line with meat and curd fillings. The consistency of the filling decides the type of depositor, so it is worth stating it in the enquiry.

Not sure where to start?

Describe the task and our engineer will propose a solution and prepare a quotation. We need to know:

  • which product you make — spring roll, samsa, snack roll, filled pancake;
  • which filling and of what consistency;
  • how many pieces per hour;
  • whether shaping is automatic or done by operators.

If you do not have all the answers yet, send what you have. We will work out the rest in conversation.
